Introducing the NIFF 2024 Creation Residency!

NIFF’s 2024 Creation Residency is a three-day, on the land creation residency, aimed primarily at local and regional* emerging Indigenous artists, inviting them to create on the land where the festival takes place. The residency is a place where two companies, or individual artists will bring their story ideas and spend three days focusing on the development of those stories into a Fringe performance. They will be guided in the development by two mid-career Indigenous artists who have experience with both land-based performance and Fringe festival presentation. Participants will be chosen by lottery, guaranteed a spot at NIFF 2024 and expected to be available and perform from June 21 - 23, 2024.

Applications are being accepted from now until March 30, 2024. Potential applicants are encouraged to contact NIFF to discuss this project.
